It's been almost one year since I saw ApologetiX live for the first time, but it seems like way longer than that. The first concert I went to was in Springfield, IL and I didn't even like them very much. I was just going because the youth group was and there wasn't anything else to do. But when I saw them perform, I really liked them. And after the concert, I talked to Karl for a little while (mostly just got his autograph) and then all of the other guys signed my first ApologetiX CD ever. It was Keep The Change. There was some more stuff going on, so we stayed for awhile and thenwe went to Wendy's for a quick supper before the 2-hour drive home. So I was standing in line and I look over and Karl and Keith are walking through the door!! I'd just met them, but I recognized them right away and I just kind of stared and my heart like jumped. lol And then Karl asked if he could cut anybody in line and I was like "You can cut in front of me!", but I guess he was joking. haha J was talking on his cell phone and BIll and Billy stayed in the van. And Karl was talking to my dad and kept stealing Sammie's french fries. While Keith and Karl were at the counter waiting for their food, I asked for a picture so that's why there's a picture of the three of us at Wendy's in the pictures on here. Then they said they couldn't stay very long, because they had to get on their way home, and I was all sad cuz I didn't want them to leave, and they were walking out the door and Karl told me to email him. (Yeah, I email him every day now...a few times every day. haha) The whole way home I was like looking for their van on the highway thinking we might pass 'em. So after that night, I listened to Keep The Change non-stop and then we got Adam Up and I listened to THAT non-stop. And I emailed Karl a whole lot, went to their website all the time to look at the pictures from their concerts, and kept hoping for another concert in Illinois. So that was my first concert and since then I've been to two more (three if you count both concerts in Green Bay) and soon it will be five, after the concert in Elburn. But the reason I love ApologetiX so much is because all of the guys are so down to earth and sociable. I don't really know any words to describe them, but they're definitely my favorite band, and I'm sure they will be for a REALLY long time...like..FOREVER AND EVER!! I went from a fan to obsessed, and from obsessed to a friend. Okay, maybe I AM just a LITTLE obsessed still....haha. But that's okay. At least I don't stalk them or something. But they are all really great guys and if you haven't ever been to a concert, then you really should go because that's the best part about them. They always take time to talk to their fans after every show and I KNOW you'll love them too. ;) And if they've never been in your area, you can still email them and they almost always reply too. They rock!!
